It is registered under EPA Reg. No. 1839-220 to 96845 and is listed on EPA List N for use against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). The formula is effective against bacteria, including MRSA, with a 2-minute contact time, and against viruses in as little as 30 seconds, with a 5-minute recommended contact time for SARS-CoV-2.
During the MiST service, the sprayed solution remains in place throughout the treatment, exceeding the required contact times before any excess is wiped away at the end of the process. Designed for ultrasonic application through the vehicle HVAC system, the solution is dispensed using an ultrasonic cleaning machine placed in the passenger floorboard with the A/C system on recirculation mode. The typical dispensing time is 15 minutes.
This method is especially effective on the evaporator, as the fine droplets are carried through the inlet vent, coalesce, and cover the entire core. The solution has been shown to continue working for up to 14 days after application. One 32-ounce (946 ml) bottle is sufficient to treat more than 12 passenger cars or light trucks, with testing indicating that 2 ounces (59 ml) can cover the average vehicle interior.
