The switchbox CP SB1 reduces wiring work at power transformers. Thereby, the time needed for testing can be reduced and, at the same time, safety can be significantly increased.
It is designed for a high degree of accuracy for the measurement of very low resistance of any inductive load. It’s a lightweight system with its own rugged waterproof field case. The WR14 applies a preset current level, selected by the user, from 0.025A to 15A. The results are reported on the easy-to-read color LCD display and can be stored or printed.
The transformer ratio and winding resistance are automatically measured in all three phases (in sequence) in all tap changer positions. The measurement results are recorded by the CPC 100 and can be analysed with the accompanying software package.

The CP SB1 is a transformer switch box designated for automatically measuring the ratio and winding resistance, and testing the tap changer of three-phase power transformers. It is an accessory to the CPC 100. Automatic control of the On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC) is included. Testing of power transformers over all taps and all phases is fully automated. Therefore, no rewiring is required.
Advanced Protection: Upon powering on, the system initializes itself with a self-calibrating, circuit checking sequence. If any problem is detected during this initialization period, or during operation, the operator will be notified immediately.
The CP SB1 is controlled from the CPC 100 via its serial interface. The results are recorded in the CPC 100 with the ratio and tap changer test cards, and can be analyzed with the computer tool set (CPC 100 Excel File Loader).
