The aluminum test block is used as a field check of type C durometers. It indicates if the durometer is mechanically sound before use. It is a combination of depth gauge and spring force gauge designed to provide consistent results in a wider temperature range than rubber or plastic blocks.

The durometer stand is capable of applying the specimen to indenter in a manner that minimizes shock. Test materials up to 5" thick. Custom stands are available for larger samples.
