High-quality and pre-measured, these reagents allow users to achieve fast and accurate colorimetric measurements and follow the Nessler Method, where reactions between ammonia and reagents cause a yellow tint in the sample. By simply adding four drops from each bottle of the reagent set to the sample, the reaction between ammonia and reagents causes a yellow tint to take place.
With the use of a compatible photometer (sold separately), it will determine the color intensity, and results will display in ppm (mg/L) of either ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N), ammonia, or ammonium-based. These reagents are ideal for samples with an expected range of 0.00 to 3.00 ppm ammonia nitrogen.
