JL3PC is a pipe clamp temperature probe that has a needle nose and Rapid Rail Sensor Technology to quickly and accurately send pipe temperature measurements to the Job Link app. This probe is part of Fieldpiece's Job Link System that allows you to directly send pipe temperature measurements to the SM380V or SM480V wireless refrigerant manifolds or to the Job Link app on your mobile device up to 1000 feet (305 meters) away. There is no JL2 transmitter required for either application.

The Rapid Rail sensor on the JL3PC uses the pipe itself to complete the thermocouple circuit resulting in accurate measurements that stabilize in 3 seconds and are not affected by ambient air. However, because the pipe is the thermocouple junction, you need enough contact for conductivity.
If you don’t get a measurement, there’s something on the pipe that’s blocking the electrical circuit. If that is the case, you can slightly rotate the temperature clamp back and forth around the pipe to cut through contaminants or perhaps you can sand the pipe a bit. The clamp can sit on an angle or on a bend without loss in performance.
The JL3PC temperature probe has a beeper and an LED to indicate whether or not the circuit is closed and a temperature is being measured.
The narrow jaws on the Fieldpiece temperature pipe clamp probe allows a user to get into tight spaces or irregularly shaped pipes. The Fieldpiece premium pipe clamp rubberized grips and ergonomic design allow for ease and comfort while working. In addition, the JL3PC is water resistant (designed to IP55) and will automatically power off after 2 hours. If desired, the auto power off can be disabled. The pipe clamp temperature probe will fit pipes from ¼” to 1 and 3/8”.
