The AccuTrak VPX-WR is an ultra-durable and waterproof ultrasonic leak detector that incorporates Superior's patented and trademarked circuitry called DND (Dynamic Noise Discrimination). This advanced technology allows the ultrasonic leak detector to detect and translate a broad range of ultrasound (20 to 100 kHz) without the guesswork found with manual tuning. The AccuTrak VPX-WR is the best leak detector on the market for finding leaks fast, especially in loud plant environments as well as for a variety of plant maintenance applications.
The advanced DND technology constantly scans the complete range of ultrasound from 20 to 100 kHz and automatically tracks both the frequency and intensity of incoming signals. When a sound is detected that is above the previous intensity baseline, it uses a sophisticated mapping process rather than simple subtraction to translate the sound to the audible range. The result is a leak detector able to find leaks faster than any other with no tuning. The Accutrak VPX-WR ultrasonic leak detector is a cylindrical instrument with the sensor located in the sensor horn at one end of the instrument and the control and multifunction connector at the other.
It is covered with a rubber grip to prevent the slippage of the instrument when the user has greasy hands. The operation of the VPX-WR is very simple and with the Automatic Frequency Tuning (DND) it makes it possible to detect and interpret a broad range of ultrasound while utilizing only one control. In addition to DND, a narrow frequency band of ultrasound is translated using heterodyning, and functions just below the set point of the DND. The DND frees the user from having to tune the instrument for different frequencies, and it provides a distinctly different sound especially when searching for vacuum leaks.
