DeadCore™ cables are a stiffer cable, ideal for milling and heavy descaling. These cables are black in color, and should only be operated in the forward direction. The construction of the DeadCore cable allows you to cut back damaged sections without the risk of the cable unwinding.

Repair couplings are available for the 1/4" (6mm) and 5/16" (8mm) DeadCore cable, for use with the K9-102+ and K9204+ only.

Features

  • DeadCore Cables™ - Stiffer cable, field-repairable (won't unwind when cut), ideal for heavy descaling or milling jobs.
  • Repair Coupling - Eliminates the need for crimped coupling. Easily field-serviceable with 2 wrenches. Compatible with the K9-102+ and K9-204+ only.
  • Flexshaft® Lubricant - Flexshaft Lubricant with PTFE (teflon) reduces FlexShaft cable friction and wear during insertion into the drain. Lubricant should be applied to any exposed cable on a monthly basis. Lubricant applied on the outer sheath also improves push ability around 90 degree cast iron bends to help push farther in drains. The lubricant is waterproof, long lasting and viscosity stable.
