The EZCT 2000A, a third-generation test set, offers a multitude of complex functions that are incredibly beneficial for fieldwork. In addition to this, it features a thermal printer that significantly assists technicians in their tasks. The test set boasts a backlit LCD screen (240 x 128 pixels and 114mm x 64mm) that guarantees excellent visibility in both high and low-light conditions. Furthermore, the Vanguard EZCT 2000A current transformer test set features a current reading range of 0 to 10 A with an accuracy level of ±1.0% of reading, ±0.02A. Its current ratio range is 0.8 to 999 (0.1% accuracy), 1000 to 1999 (0.3%) and 2000 to 5000 (1%).
This transformer boasts automated demagnetization and the ability to adjust voltage output without the need for technician intervention. It provides ample storage capacity, with an internal storage that can accommodate 128 test plans. Each test plan can store up to 10 settings for excitation test voltage and current. Additionally, it offers the convenience of external storage through a USB Flash drive interface port. Furthermore, this model is designed to be portable and durable.
The current unit, which is powered by a microprocessor, conducts various tests including excitation, CT Ratio, polarity, and winding resistance tests. The EZCT 2000A operates on an input power of either 100-120 V AC or 200-240 V AC (factory pre-set), with a frequency of 50/60 Hz, and follows the measurement method standards of ANSI/IEEE C57.12.90, IEC 60044-1, and ANSI/IEEE C57.13.1.
