These hipots are designed for conducting pass/fail, AC over-voltage withstand tests on high voltage equipment such as switchgear, circuit breakers, reclosers, vacuum bottles, hot sticks, bus duct, and other apparatus that require an AC test voltage. The PFT Series offers the most convenient and affordable field portable AC hipots available at this voltage and power range.
The hipots feature a gapped core transformer that can provide up to 3 kVA of output power while drawing only 1.5 kVA, allowing the hipot to be powered by a standard 120Vac or 230Vac input. They are equipped with a two-range voltmeter, three-range current meter, and guard circuit to ensure precise leakage current measurements. For bench-top testing requirements, we recommend checking out our ABT Series. If you need higher power options, our ALT, FPA, HPA, and PAR lines of AC dielectric test sets can accommodate testing loads that require more power.
