The RMO-G is a compact micro-ohmmeter created specifically for measuring the contact resistance of non-inductive test objects. It is ideal for applications that prioritize safety. This reliable device is capable of testing a variety of electrical components including medium and high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and different high-current links. With its Both Sides Grounded feature and Remote Control capabilities, the RMO-G ensures precise and accurate measurements even in challenging environments. This not only guarantees the integrity of the test results but also adds an extra layer of protection for the testing personnel.
Our RMO800G is the leading portable micro-ohmmeter available, boasting an impressive output current of 800 A. Meanwhile, our RMO200G stands as the top-selling model in the USA. You can select the model that suits your needs by considering the desired output current, ranging from 100 A (RMO100G) to 800 A (RMO800G).
Our instruments are enclosed in a durable plastic case that is resistant to breaking and has an IP67 protective rating when the lid is closed. Despite being compact and lightweight, the RMO-G micro-ohmmeters have impressive power capabilities. The high output voltage allows for a wider measurement range at higher test currents, making it possible to use thinner and longer test cables. The RMO-G produces a true DC current that is free from ripple, with less than 1% ripple effect. Additionally, the instrument automatically regulates the test ramps by increasing the current before measuring and decreasing it afterwards. This effectively reduces magnetic transients and ensures high accuracy in the measurements.
When conducting tests in conditions where both sides are grounded, special current clamps are utilized to measure the current through groundings. These clamps are powered by the instrument itself. In cases where an even higher level of safety is necessary, the Remote Control feature allows operators to perform measurements from distant locations.
The RMO-G instruments have the capacity to save up to 500 measurements in their internal memory. Additionally, they come with a thermal printer and offer the option to include a USB flash drive. Another optional feature is the built-in High Precision module, which is designed for measuring extremely low resistance ranging from 1 to 30 µΩ with a resolution of 0.01 µΩ.
