It has solid 24 AWG conductors with ANSI color coding, built to special limits of error, and ships on a 1000' (300 m) spool. Typical applications include fabricating thermocouples and wiring sensors to controllers, meters, and data loggers.

Rated for use up to 1600°F (870°C), this Type K thermocouple wire is insulated with high-temperature ceramic.
