Designed for surface temperature verification, this temperature-indicating lacquer liquefies when its rated 1000°F (538°C) is reached. Brushed onto a part, the dry film stays opaque until the threshold is met and then melts to a glossy liquid, giving a clear pass mark. Supplied in a 2 oz (59 mL) bottle, it works great for welding, heat-treating, and curing checks.

Same material used in OMEGAMARKER(TM) in lacquer suspension. Lacquer serves a transport function only. OMEGALAQ(TM) may be thinned to ensure workable consistency. Thinning OMEGALAQ will not affect its accuracy.
Directions for use: Shake or stir to uniform consistency. Apply thin smear to the working surface before heating begins. It dries almost instantly to a mark.
When the stated temperature is reached on subsequent heating, this mark liquifies sharply. A melted OMEGALAQ coating does not revert to its original dull-opaque appearance but remains glossy-transparent which makes subsequent interpretation a simple matter.
