The Surface Measure 1008S is an advanced sensor that combines Mitutoyo's proprietary optical system with traditional sensor technology. The Surface Measure 1008S is an advanced sensor that combines Mitutoyo's proprietary optical system with traditional sensor technology. Capable of handling tasks from 2D profile measurement to 3D dimensional inspection, the SM1008S is designed to meet diverse in-line inspection requirements and the growing need for high-precision measurement.
The sensor is guaranteed for 20 µm accuracy and 0.5 µm Z repeatability, meeting IP67 protection standards for reliable measurements. The SurfaceMeasure1008S captures profiles and 3D shapes of workpieces at high speed (up to 10 kHz frame rate) and can make automatic judgments within the sensor. It features a parts matching function, allowing consistent measurement without regard to part orientation or alignment. The built-in, intuitive software requires no installation, enabling immediate use after mounting.
