The Fluke Solmetric PVA Charging Kit is an essential tool for solar professionals who require reliable power solutions in the field. This versatile kit enables the charging of the Fluke Solmetric PVA I-V unit and SolSensor using either solar energy or an external battery pack, ensuring you have the power you need, even in remote locations.
The kit includes a compact and efficient 28 W folding solar panel, designed for easy transport and setup. This solar panel harnesses renewable energy, allowing you to charge your equipment during daylight hours, making it an environmentally friendly option for powering your devices. The external battery pack is capable of recharging the I-V unit or SolSensor up to two times, providing additional flexibility for extended field use. This is especially useful for long days of testing or remote locations where access to traditional power sources is limited.
The kit comes with two charging cables that are compatible with the PVA-1500T2 and PVA-1500HE2 models. This ensures that users can quickly connect and charge their devices without hassle, streamlining the charging process in the field. PVA-1500T2 and PVA-1500HE2: I-V measurements can be performed when the solar panel or external battery pack is connected to the I-V unit or SolSensor. Firmware version 1.4.273 or later is required. The PVA I-V unit can be easily upgraded, if needed, via the PVA application.
When the internal temperature of the I-V unit is above 122°F (50°C) which can happen after many repeated I-V sweeps at high voltages) the I-V unit will not charge or operate from the solar panel or external battery pack.
