The potential of hydrogen (pH) in your pool or hot tub is an indicator of acidity. Too low of a water pH (0-7) will damage your equipment, and cause irritations to you and your guests. Too high (8-14), and the effectiveness of your sanitizing agent will drop. Balancing and maintaining your pool and spas pH is vital to a clean experience, and this means keeping it between 7.2 and 7.8.
How do we check the pH to make sure it's in the right range?
1- pH Meters ← Click link for examples
Portable and affordable, pH meters offer you a quick way to determine pH levels with additional information, like temperature and ORP. Oxidation reduction potential (ORP) can help you determine how effective your chlorine levels are.
