The TREND Networks R240-VIP FiberMASTER Video Inspection Probe allows for magnified end-face inspection of fiber optic connectors in order to check for contaminates or damage. When used with a compatible instrument of a FiberMASTER Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), Power Meter (PM), or Light Source (LS), the probe can be used to capture images of the connector on each end of the cabling. Handy features like auto-centering, zoom, and PASS/FAIL mode offer a faster method of determining the state of a fiber optic connector. The large variety of optional compatible video probe tips and adapters allows the user to customize the probe based on the needed specifications at hand.

Proper cleaning and end-face inspection is a critical practice each time a connector is plugged into a mating connection or piece of fiber optic equipment. The R240-VIP is an essential piece of equipment for any fiber cable installer or technician to help keep fiber optic connectors free from contamination or damage.
