Large 5" scale provides a ±2% full scale accuracy for precision measurement required in medical or laboratory applications. The VFC models have PVC 1" female NPT connections. VFC II units are equipped with acetal thermoplastic 1" male NPT fittings. Fittings also include hex wrench flats to prevent stripped threads.
These Variable Area type Flow Meters utilize a spring and piston type assembly. Differential pressure caused by flow between the metering cone and the piston/magnet assembly moves the piston against a retaining spring.
