The CI unit's onboard electronics are protected by a rugged NEMA 4 (IP65) stainless steel housing, allowing the sensor to function in ambient temperatures to 160°F (70°C) without cooling. The CI is wired in the same way as a thermocouple, so it can be used with most type J thermocouple temperature controllers. Since it provides a thermocouple output and has the same impedance as a thermocouple, it can be used to replace thermocouple where contact with the target can lead to breakage. Can be used in the following applications: blow molding, bonding, coating, converting, curing, drying, embossing, extrusion, forming, heating, laminating, molding, ovens, paint drying, paving, printing, and thermoforming.
